Client IRICAV 2 Consortium
In the framework of the design of the high speed railway line Verona – Padova, lot 1 (1st and 2nd sub-lots Verona – Montebello Vicentino and Montebello Vicentino – Bivio Vicenza) E.D.In has developed the Detailed Design of 12 viaducts for an overall extension of about 7000m. Main structures of the project include viaducts on the Fibbio and Alpone rivers, of 2380 and 1770m long respective lenghts. The decks are of prestressed concrete for spans of 25m, composite steel-concrete for spans from 40 to 46m and filler beams with spans up to 22m. The piers are box shaped with rounded edges, while abutments have a standard geometry. All foundations stand on large diameter piles.
