Preliminary, final and construction structural design, fabrication sheets for the San Pio of Pietrelcina Church, architects Studio Anselmi & Associati, winner of an invitation contest. The complex shape of the steel roof was achieved through a specific erection procedure, based upon cutting, twisting and curving steel plates.

New Panama Canal

The second Panama Canal, named El Canal Ampliado, is one of the foremost civil works worldwide in this new millennium beginning. Larger than the existing one, more than a century old, hosts the passage of larger ships of the Neopanamax standard. During the construction design E.D.In. was consultant for the large steel gates, carrying out among other their response analyses for extreme seismic events. Subsequently, after completion, has intensively collaborated to the assessment and retrofitting of the Lock reinforced concrete structures, following significant issues arisen during their commissioning. Last, acted as expert witness for the Arbitral Tribunal, reporting on the seismic design criteria of the steel gates.
